Welcome to the garden

In the pantry

I learned to make and can my own jam 5 ish years ago and I never stopped wanting to learn. Canning is such a full-filling and fun skill to gain and we love how incredible the quality of our meals improved in the winter. Making a dish where the only ingredient you didn't make is the salt is such an achievement to us and we want to share that feeling with you! Our canned goods come from our loving home to yours to give you the convenience we need but never sacrificing the quality we deserve.

Pigs and Chickens

We were so proud of raising our own meat animals so much last year. It gave us some of the best chicken and pork we've ever had! We cant wait to share with the community.

Goats

We are so excited to add goats to the farm! Eventually we want to do goat milk and goat cheese but for now we are still learning and will grow as we go! We have 2 alpine weathers Stan & Bruce. 3 Nigerian dwarves, Linda, Patty, and coco. One buck named chug and a miniature Nigerian dwarf penny and her baby buck Lenny!

Eggs

We have lots of different egg layers! We get plenty of eggs a day so we love selling the eggs to our community! We have copper marans, wyandonettes, brahmas, olive eggers, black sex links, white Plymouth’s, Rhode Island reds, barred rocks, and Norfolk greys! Stay tuned we added more this year and will have even more colors!

Bees

Our bees are from Westfield VT. They made the journey here to Highgate and were quickly happy and at home! We harvested so much honey this first year and we couldn’t be more grateful. They had a huge vegetable garden and flower garden to collect pollen from and I think that is a big reason they thrived!
